Updates

Another batch of merchandise arrived today and overall I'm pleased with the outcome. The "Franco" tote bag is stunning. I can't wait to get other prints and merchandise delivered. Even the coffee cups came out pretty good. Next, are the t-shirts.

I have begun to upload more work both to the blog and the www.roninkafkagear.com site. Please check both for new material. This is going to be a very exciting new year.

I've updated my personal portable storage to 40GB which is going to make creating my works more efficient and organized.

Yesterday I received a test print from the www.roninkafka.com store at cafepress.com. I was pleased with the print and the framing. For the price you can't get a better deal on prints to hang in your office or home. I have a fair amount of work from a few years past which I will soon be uploading to the site so that Ronin may categorize and announce this to the world. Work on new projects is soon to be underway including the Spire condo and gallery which Ronin is now residing in. Pics from this are coming soon and will be posted on this site.

Postings have been a little sproadic but will soon get back on track.

Output Blues and other musings.

As you can see visual output has been next to non-existent but this will change soon enough. Behind the scenes I have been working on 2 archival hard copy prints for the holidays, installing a new printer and upgrading my toolkit. I expect this to open new vistas to further enhance creativity and am excited by this. www.roninkafkagear.com requires more promotion but recent other projects have taken up more time. We are currently in the process of installing some older pieces in the luxury-box in the sky known as Spire. There are promotional shirts in limited, collectible numbers to be distributed to key individuals, there is a lot more work to be done. There must be an increase of output in the coming year. The mantra for 2006 will be "The T-shirt is the New Graffiti". We must continue to push the revolution. We must press for more transfer of power from the few to the many. We must teach and entertain. Capitalism is love.

iKafka likes to work alone.

He cannot focus.

Time attacks him like wolf pack.

He is not objective conscious.

iKafka should be surrouneded by sycophants. He thinks this would at least make life easier.

BLINK

JP Morgan Chase just upgrade me to a “Blink” branded Mastercard. According to howstuffworks.com the new card works like this:

The new blink credit card is just like a regular credit card in many ways. It has the account holder's name and the account number embossed on the front of the card. On the back is a magnetic strip containing the account information, so the card can be used anywhere regular credit cards can be used. The key difference is inside the card.

Embedded within the blink card is a small RFID (radio frequency identification) microchip. When the chip is close enough to the right kind of terminal, the terminal can get information from the chip -- in this case, the account number and name. So instead of swiping the magnetic strip on the card through a standard credit-card reader, card holders simply hold their card a few inches from the blink terminal. The card never leaves the card holder's hand.

Ok but here is my question. Will the merchant still ask to see my ID when I make a purchase? And really, how much time is saved between swiping the card as opposed to holding it close to the card reader? I still have to sign the receipt don’t I?
