Are you so enamored of your media gods that you are willing to sacrifice your self esteem at the alter of their approval? They don’t even know who you are. And yet they care deeply about your infatuation with them. This one to many relationship only transmits inputs. The output is unseen and known only to you and those perplexed individuals close to you. It is the most subtle of behavior modification strategies designed to be a self organizing system that operates as a net of indirectly connected nodes. It is a continuous operation. It’s feedback loop is transferable from one node to the next. In this sense it exhibits a robustness that assures its existence. You are nearly powerless to escape it. Not that you would ever want to. And so the system continues its self perpetual property.
